A separate pouch for laundry on a trip
Give worn clothing a separate place, and keep damp items from becoming a closed bundle for the rest of the trip.

Decide what the pouch must separate
Worn dry clothing needs separation from clean clothing; wet swimwear or a rain-soaked garment creates a different problem. A simple cloth pouch may suit the first job but does not contain water. A more enclosing bag may help temporarily with the second, yet it should not become long-term storage for damp fabric.
Choose a size around the likely interval between washing or returning home. A tiny pouch that fills after one day adds little organisation to a longer journey. On the other hand, a large rigid bag can consume space before it is needed. A light foldable option may be enough.
Keep the opening easy to use. If it is awkward, worn items are likely to end up beside the pouch rather than inside it. A clear colour or label helps distinguish it from the clean-clothing cubes in shared luggage.
Do not mix every worn item together
Separate heavily soiled items, shoes and anything that could mark other fabrics. Follow the clothing's care needs when deciding what can later be washed together. A travel laundry pouch is a sorting aid, not permission to ignore colour or fabric instructions at the destination.
Dry damp items when a suitable opportunity exists, following their labels. Do not drape them over electrical equipment or improvise a drying place near heat. If they must be enclosed briefly for transport, unpack them promptly and deal with them before putting the bag away.
Keep sharp accessories, coins and tissues out of the laundry pouch. Empty pockets before packing worn clothes where possible. This makes the eventual wash less of a search and prevents a forgotten object marking neighbouring fabric.
Unpack the pouch itself
At home, empty the contents and inspect the inside. Clean the pouch according to its own instructions, particularly if it carried damp or heavily soiled clothing. Dry it fully before returning it to the travel bag.
Do not store it permanently inside a closed suitcase while it is still damp. Fold it loosely where you can find it for the next journey. If the pouch was too small or difficult to clean, note that before buying another. The goal is a clear place for used clothing and a straightforward return to the normal laundry routine.
